Conversations inside MARPLA, contacts and attachments.
Quick start
- 1Open Messages in the main menu, the messages icon in the header, Message in MARPLA on a published developer profile, or Chats in your own game's settings. Messenger stays inside the regular MARPLA interface, and Back returns to the section you came from.
- 2The red header badge shows how many authors have unread messages, including marketplace inquiries. The green badge beside a contact shows the unread message count in that conversation and clears after you open it.
- 3In My games, the compact Chats button and the Chats tab in contact settings open the same game inbox. It contains only conversations for that game, including marketplace inquiries. The filter uses the game's icon, while the red button badge counts authors with unread messages.
- 4When entering from a public game card, verify its icon and name. If the owner is already on MARPLA, start the chat immediately. If the game is not connected yet, create a one-use link and send it to the owner through Discord, Telegram or another channel.
- 5Choose an image or video: it appears in the draft and is not sent automatically. Add text and press Enter to send everything as one message; Shift+Enter inserts a new line. Members panel shows contacts shared by participants and blocking controls.

Chats under Open for a conversation is the working messenger, not a separate preview. The left side lists every conversation linked to this game's Universe ID; the right side contains history, members, attachments and the composer. Start a new addressed conversation by email, MARPLA identity or a linked Roblox account. One-use links retain the game context too. Opening a conversation marks it read and synchronizes counters in the header, game card and marketplace.
Inviting the owner of an unconnected game
Message via MARPLA passes the Universe ID, public game name and icon into Messages so you can verify the correct project before starting. If a published owner is already connected to MARPLA, a regular game chat is created. Otherwise MARPLA creates a game-linked chat and a one-use link valid for seven days. Send it to the owner yourself. A signed-out owner first registers or signs in and returns to the same link; the first eligible account joins the chat, the link closes and the conversation continues in MARPLA.
Contacts & access
Add Telegram and Discord in your profile and link Roblox when needed. Roblox lookup only finds accounts already linked to MARPLA. A one-use link is valid for seven days and is permanently closed after the first person joins; it cannot be reused or passed to another person. Other members do not see your email. You can disable new conversations, block a participant, leave a group and delete your own messages for everyone. Leaving revokes access to the group's messages and files. These are private chats with server-side access checks, not end-to-end encryption.
Files, limits and instant alerts
PNG, JPEG and WebP images support up to 5 MB. Paid plans also support MP4/WebM videos up to 20 MB. A selected file remains in the draft until it is sent together with the text, and can be removed before pressing Enter. Files are restricted to current conversation members; a direct URL does not grant access. Plans list daily UTC attachment counts, storage and group-size limits. While MARPLA is open, a protected event stream updates red author badges and game-chat buttons immediately without reloading the page. If the stream drops, the browser reconnects and a fallback check restores the counters. System push notifications while the site is closed are not connected yet.
Links and external notifications
Every conversation has a stable private link that only signed-in participants can open. Copy it from the chat or listing card and paste it into Discord or Telegram. HTTP(S) addresses in message text become clickable; MARPLA displays only the domain, hiding long paths, parameters and tokens, while the full original destination opens in a new tab. Other URL schemes are not activated. Automatically delivering that link to a specific recipient requires a connected bot or integration; MARPLA does not claim external delivery until it is configured. AI replies, automatic summaries and donation verification are not active yet either.
